Introduced by Peter Scott.
It is part of the paradox of the Galapagos Islands that fur seals and flamingos should occur in the same area, along with lava lizards, turtles, pelicans, sharks, shearwaters, dolphins, and sperm whales. While swimming underwater, Peter Scott and Tony Soper took some remarkable shots of Galapagos sea lions above and below the surface, in spite of the aggressive tendencies of the big bulls.
