Beneath the school of Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds lie the remains of a prehistoric Iron Age village. Last summer archaeologists found the crouched skeleton of a teenage girl, bound at death and buried in an ancient rubbish pit. Julian Richards tries to discover how this young woman died and why, unusually for the time, she was interred intact in the ground.
