Conductor, H. Dobbs
Marie L. Holloway (pianoforte)
This choir consists of sixty, men, whose principal employment is coal mining. Their conductor, Harry Dobbs , has acted in that capacity for the whole twenty-five years of the choir's existence. The singers have organised or taken part in a great number of concerts, and have done much to assist charitable causes, and to help their colleagues when occasion has arisen. They are the present holders of the Kingswood Eisteddfod Sydney Fry Challenge Shield, and in 1936 were winners of the Walford Challenge Cup.
