Richter Plays Chopin
Earlier this year the legendary and reclusive Russian pianist Sviatoslav Richter performed in London for the first time in nearly 15 years. This concert, recorded at the Barbican, revealed that age had dimmed neither his virtuosity nor his music. From Chopin's Etudes Op 10 he played Nos 1-4 and Nos 6, 10, 11 and 12, and from Op 25 Nos 5, 6, 8 and 11. Introduced by Professor Norman Stone. Sound PAUL CUNLIFFE
