French Cooking in Ten Minutes

on BBC Two England

The first of six programmes in which a five-course meal is prepared and cooked before the cameras.
As much a drama as a cookery series, it dramatises Edouard de Pomiane's
1930s culinary classic, Cooking in Ten Minutes, adapted by Nicholas Cooper. Tonight Dr Pomiane, a Polish research scientist in Paris, creates a simple and delicious meal for his guest, the mysterious Madame X, of prawn omelette, veal with petit pois, green salad, cheese and fruit.
