New series 1/3. "Capability" Brown. The inspiring stories of horticultural visionaries. A 150-acre lake, artificial river and several thousand trees helped to make the landscaped grounds of Oxfordshire's Blenheim Palace one of Lancelot "Capability" Brown's finest achievements. However, a clash of wills between the landscape architect and his patron, the Duke of Malborough, threatened to derail the project, and as jealous competitors vied to take over his work and costs spiralled out of control, Blenheim nearly became Brown's biggest failure. With Diarmuid Gavin.
