Rugby Union: Internationals

2018/19

Episode 13: Wales v South Africa

Duration: 2 hours, 30 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Two ScotlandLatest broadcast: on BBC Two Northern Ireland HD

The fiery passion of Wales meets the might of South Africa in the latest clash between the northern and southern hemisphere in the Autumn Internationals.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has billed the November series as a means of fine-tuning his squad ahead of next year's World Cup, but ignore the Springboks at your peril. Fresh from a recent win over reigning world champions New Zealand in the Rugby Championship, South Africa will be striving to arrest a run of three losses in Cardiff. Wales narrowly won the most recent meeting between the sides in Washington in June, a 22-20 victory sealed by a 74th-minute penalty. Expect another tight affair this time round.

Live coverage is presented by John Inverdale, with expert analysis by former British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton, 100-cap Wales international Martyn Williams, former England centre Jeremy Guscott and South African World Cup winner Jean de Villiers. Show less
