Gwyneth Jones , who was born in Pontnewynydd, Pontypool. returned to her home town last Sunday. at the invitation of the Gwent Foundation, to meet her many friends there and to sing for them at the Leisure Centre.
The programme includes Ritorna "Vincitor from Aida, Un Bet Di from Madama Butterfly and con-eludes with the first performance in Wales of the Immolation Scene from Gdtterddmmerung.
