Horizon: Mega-Tsunami: Wave of Destruction

on BBC Two England

A new season of the flagship science series begins with an investigation into mega-tsunami - tidal waves measuring several hundreds of metres high. The ideal conditions for producing one of these vast tidal waves - one that would engulf the eastern seaboard of the United States - currently exist on the Canary Island resort of La Palma, and scientists say it is not a question of if, but of when, it will happen.
