Hazel Irvine introduces highlights of day two of the Ryder Cup from Gleneagles, as Europe takes on the USA in one of sport's most compelling contests.

Europe will be hoping this year's standout performer Rory McIlroy, the Open champion and USPGA winner, will be able to inspire them to victory.

Two years ago Europe needed 'the Miracle at Medinah' to take the spoils. That victory is one of the most famous in the history of the Ryder Cup with the European team rallying from a 10-6 deficit to win eight of the 12 singles matches on the final day, and halve one of the others, to secure a dramatic triumph.

Paul McGinley skippers the European team but the US team have star quality in their corner with eight-time major champion Tom Watson captaining their side. Europe have won the last two events by just one point on each occasion. Show less
