Hanna Reitsch is the only known wartime female military test pilot. Her flying in Germany included a manned VI flying bomb, plus a glider the size of a jumbo jet that needed three fighters to lift it off the ground; and an indoor demonstration of an early helicopter at the Berlin motor show.
