Geography programme for children aged four to six years following the adventures of a mouse called William Whiskerson as he explores the Isles of Scilly, a farm in Somerset and the City of London.
On the Isles of Scilly, William visits his friends Zoe and Issac, who live on the island of Bryher. As they show him around, William visits local landmarks including the beach, a hill and shop, learning all about island life on the way. He also discovers Bryher's wildlife and sees ponies, dolphins and seals. He finds out how goods and people are transported to and from the island. He then visits the children's school, travelling by boat to the neighbouring island of Tresco.
In Somerset, William meets his friend Theo, who lives on a dairy farm. On his trip around the farm, William learns how female cows make milk, sees a newborn calf and discovers all about organic farming. William also watches the cows being milked and then follows the milk as it is transported to the dairy, where it is bottled and sent to the shops.
In London, William visits his friend Kulala and goes on a sightseeing tour. They take the London underground into the city centre and William learns about the people who live and work in the city and the transport they use to travel around. They then visit some of the city's key landmarks including Green Park, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Tower Bridge. They even see a royal procession at Buckingham Palace. Show less
