Neil Morrissey was just ten years old when he was sent into care. After thirty years of wondering, he has finally decided to confront his past. For most of his adult life Neil believed that he'd been taken into care due to his bad behaviour, but he discovers the reasons were far more complex. In Bristol, Andy has been fostering for 25 years and during that time she has looked after around 80 young people. During his visit, Neil learns how important a sense of permanence and security is in a young person's life.
Neil travels back to the Isle of Dogs, his home during his drama school days, and recounts this experience with three of his close friends. Neil is surprised to learn he transferred many of the habits learned from the children's home to his student life. Show less
