Jonathan Edwards hosts live coverage of the Great Manchester Run. Distance legend Haile Gebrselassie will be back to defend his title. At the halfway point in 2009 he was on world record pace, only to be foiled by a strong headwind in the latter stages. In the women's race, Britain's Jo Pavey is returning after having a baby last year to reclaim the title she won in 2007 and 2008.

As well as a host of elite athletes, there will also be celebrities and thousands of 'fun runners' competing in the 10km race, which is being broadcast live for the first time.
