Highlights from the day's action at the Australian Open, which is now at its halfway point. After reaching the heights of world number two last season, Britain's Andy Murray will hope that 2010 will be the year that he wins his first Grand Slam title. The Scot has the game to do well on the hard courts of Melbourne, yet this is the only major in which he hasn't reached at least the quarter-final stage. Other leading contenders aiming to make progress in the first Grand Slam of the year will be world number one Roger Federer and defending champion Rafael Nadal.

The women's tournament also promises much excitement, with former world number one Justine Henin making her return from retirement, following in the footsteps of fellow Belgian Kim Clijsters, who came back to win the US Open in memorable fashion last year. Show less
