Former Maestro competitor, drum and bass pioneer and graffiti artist Goldie takes on a new challenge. Despite never having received a musical education, he is invited to compose a piece of music to be performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in the 2009 Proms season.
It's the countdown to the world premiere of Goldie's new composition for the BBC Proms, performed at the Royal Albert Hall. It's a huge challenge for Goldie to prepare a written score for an orchestra of over 60 musicians and a chorus of 120 singers, but some modern technology comes to the rescue and he trials his ideas in workshops with the orchestra and choir. The programme reaches its climax as Goldie attends the premiere of his new work Sine Tempore, conducted by Charles Hazlewood with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Family Prom. Show less
