Episode 5

Duration: 25 minutes

First broadcast: on BBC Two EnglandLatest broadcast: on BBC Two Wales

Radio 1's Reggie Yates joins BBC Switch to present The Almost Perfect Guide to Life, a six-part series offering a one-stop guide to everything teenagers want to know but are not sure who to ask. Joining Reggie to introduce the Insider Guide segments is AJ Odudu in her first TV presenting role.

It is tough being a teen. Surging hormones, changing bodies, exam stress and pocket money just do not cut it. On top of that, there is pressure to wear the right clothes and to look good, when all teens really want to do is spend time with their mates.

The show gives young people the information they need in an instructive and entertaining way to help them get through this confusing time. From how to pull, how to pass, and how to pretend they have known this stuff all along, each episode is fast-paced, funny, frank and packed with insider tips presented by experts.

Wannabe rockstars the Acrylics are in desperate need of tips on how to get their music heard by industry insiders and the public. They turn to indie band Saving Aimee to help fine-tune their act, and get hints on how to be noticed by the right people. There are useful tips on how to dump someone in a nice way, and AJ presents an Insider Guide to snogging. South coast cooking disater Jordan struggles to even boil an egg, but after a crash course in the culinary arts from patient chef Sophie Michell, he is hot on Jamie Oliver's heels and on course to impress his ex-girlfriend.
