Powerful drama about a middle-class couple who succumb to alcoholism.

Joe Clay is a PR man whose job description includes partying and drinking copious amounts of alcohol to keep his clients happy and his career on track. When young secretary Kirsten Arnasen, a non-drinker, walks into his life, the two fall in love and get married.

But the couple's idyllic life is soon spoiled by Joe's escalating drink problem as Kirsten is pressured into taking up drinking too. Eventually alcohol takes over as the thing that holds their marriage together but also at the same time threatens to destroy it. Show less
