Ben Fogle leads a team of five would-be explorers on the ultimate challenge: to cover 200 miles across the frozen wastes of Spitzbergen, just 80 miles from the Arctic Circle to reach the heights of the magnificent Temple Mountain.

To get to the mountain, the team will have to travel across some of the most treacherous terrain known to man, endure sub-zero temperatures and camp out in the icy wilderness. Pushed to their mental and physical limits, this journey will change their lives forever, if they make it to the end.

It’s the final day of the expedition and exhausted, frozen and with dwindling rations, the team begin the final trek to the base of Temple Mountain. But the Arctic has got one last thing to throw at them. In the midst of a full on Arctic blizzard, the team find that their route forward is blocked when a fjord that should have been frozen has got two metres of meltwater on top of it.
