In 1947, an American couple, Port and Kit Moresby, arrive in North Africa. A jaded musician, Port is looking to the desert for inspiration and a way to revive his failing marriage, while Kit, tired of their nomadic lifestyle, hopes for a miracle to rekindle their passion.
