The Battle of Barnet. The site of the battle of Barnet has gradually disappeared beneath urban London, butjust over 500 years ago it was where 25,000 soldiers fought one of the crucial conflicts of the War of the Roses. From their base located on a local golf club, which now occupies part of the battlefield, archaeologists Tony Pollard and Neil Oliver set out to investigate the battle and its history.
