Featuring the re-discovered work of amateur cameramen and home-movie ' makers of the 20s and 30s. Introduced by James Cameron
The owner of a Nottingham factory that turned out lace-making machinery before the war used his movie camera to record not just his family life and holidays at Skegness, but also rare scenes on the shop floor and works outings with his employees. He died in 1944 but his son - seen as a very little boy in the film-tells the story of the family's fortunes in the years leading to World War II.
