The giant Brazilian otter or ' bigi watra dagoo ' is one of the world's ten most endangered mammals. This film follows NICOLE DUPLAlX , an American otter specialist with World Wildlife Fund, as she searches the piranha-infested creeks in the remote forests of Surinam. South America. These are the first studies in the wild of this rare and delightful animal.
Arawak Indians and Djuka Negroes have long fished the same rivers as the giant otter. But West Surinam is fast being developed and the areas where the otter lives are threatened ...
