Today at Wimbledon

on BBC Two England

Sue Barker introduces action from today's ladies' singles final. At the beginning of the tournament, Martina Hingis was bidding to retain the title she won so impressively last year, but faced strong competition from the latest teenage sensations - Venus Williams and her sister Serena, and Anna Kournikova , as well as Monica Seles , Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and Steffi Graf.
Today also saw the climax of the mixed doubles competition, as well as the men's doubles, where Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde were striving to win a record sixth consecutive title.
