This skilful futuristic fable, set in the year 2001, features Bruce Dern as an ecologically obsessed astronaut orbiting the planet Saturn with the last remaining specimens of Earth's plant-life. When the order comes to abandon the giant greenhouses, he refuses to obey and, with two small robots for company, sets out on a lonely odyssey to preserve his precious cargo.
