on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

Luton Hoo is now open to the public. It houses the Lady Ludlow collection of English porcelain, as well as souvenirs of the famous racehorse, Brown Jack, and is surrounded by gardens designed by Capability Brown.
Sir Harold Wernher, G.C.V.O., comes to the studio to tell the story of his house, built by Robert Adam, and its fine collection of pictures, tapestries, bronzes, and other art treasures.
Assisting in the programme are Major A. A. Longden, Curator of the Collection, Christopher Hussey, who has written the script, and Geoffrey Boumphrey who acts as guide.
