by Margaret Potter
with David Peel as Martin Bellinger

Joanna, Philip, and Lady Bellinger think that Martin has reached London safely and will have gone to see Sir Charles (Third Secretary at the Admiralty) about the papers Martin was given while in Boulogne. But Martin has been taken prisoner and is being held in Mr. Ackroyd's London house. Mr. Ackroyd himself has chaperoned Joanna on her journey - and with her are the vital papers. It is only when Joanna finds herself locked in Mr. Ackroyd's drawing-room that she realises he is an agent of France and the Emperor Napoleon.
