Leafing through her school-girl diaries and old photographs Diane Cruise realises, sadly, that her youth is passing her by. Worse still she is not happy. In search of herself and that lost happiness she decides to revisit some of her former boyfriends. The trip from Los Angeles to Michigan and beyond proves to be funny, sad and finally optimistic in its affirmation of life.
