Dr Gogol, a sinister but brilliant surgeon, becomes obsessed with the star of the Parisian Horror Theatre, but she rebuffs him. When her eminent pianist husband loses his hands in a railway accident, Dr Gogol is persuaded to graft another pair of hands onto him - those of a guillotined murderer. Has the pianist taken on more than the murderer's hands?
