Play School: Useful Box Day

on BBC Two England

"A sailor went to sea,
To see what he could see,
And all that he could see,
Was sea, sea, sea". (Anon.)

Ocean-going liners, fishing boats, and lighthouses, are all seen through the Play School windows this week. Today, things from the Useful Box are used to make Ships, and on Thursday John and Ann invent a sub-sea car for a game at the bottom of the sea.
