An independent film - Before Hindsight - has aroused interest and controversy for its exposure of deficiencies in pre-war current affairs and news coverage. It contains rare archival footage including previously suppressed film clips.
Before Hindsight is presented by James Cameron and ends with the assertion by Jonathan Dimbleby that today's current affairs programmes can, and do, present an equally distorted version of the truth.
