Hardy plants which were once native to Europe but were eliminated during the Ice Age are still to be found in theSino Himalaya. F. Kingdon-Ward , who has been responsible for reintroducing many of them to the gardens of this country, describes an expedition to Mount Vic toria in Burma, from which he and his wife have recently returned.
