Animals Abroad make this week's News from the Zoos
A weekly series of visits to zoos in Great Britain and in Europe.
Introduced by James Fisher.
The Geo-Zoo at Munich borders on the River Isar and is set in fine wooded parkland criss-crossed with waterways. It is called a Geo-Zoo because the animals are grouped geographically, each area representing one of the five continents of the world. This programme deals with the wild-life of Africa.
(An edited recording of a programme, 'The Cape to the Sahara', transmitted this summer by the Bavarian Television Service)
