The Best of British: The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner

Continues the season of major British films of the 60s. Tonight starring
Tom Courtenay , Michael Redgrave Colin Smith is sent to Ruxton Towers, a stately-home turned into a Borstal institution. The one thing Colin does well is run, and so the Governor trains him to win the long-distance cross-country race in the forthcoming sports match with a neighbouring public school. But Colin is a rebel with only contempt for society, and on sports day he has his revenge.
