For 30 years the Radiophonic Workshop has been creating electronic music and sound for BBC radio and television. The Electric Music Machine follows its six resident composers as they work on programmes as diverse as Fat Man in the Kitchen, Birds of the Sun God, and Horizon. The composers use a wide variety of sound sources ranging from plastic bags to the latest in computer-controlled music technology.
