Two works which draw their inspiration from two millennia of Scottish traditional music. The ancient Celtic lament inspires Sally Beamish 's Between Earth and Sea for flute, viola and harp, and the pipes and fiddle Ronald Stevenson 's piano quartet Alma Alba.
