The black British press has a long history, dating back to anti-colonial publications in the 19th century. Today there are over 60 titles ranging from community newspapers, to comics to glossy magazines. I So how do black journalists approach a story? Is there a black news agenda? And why are there so few black reporters working on the big nationals? The programme examines the history of the black press, talks to some of I today's black journalists, and focuses on The Voice, the most successful ethnic publication in Britain, selling over 50,000 copies a week.
