Entertainment USA: Corpus Christi, Texas

on BBC Two England

Introduced by Jonathan King

Corpus Christi on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico recently became better known when it found itself in the path of Hurricane Gilbert. The hurricane missed but the town is still in trouble. The huge oil revenues have gone, the investors with them.
Still, there's a nice harbour and JK goes out at dawn to meet the dolphins, visits
Corpus Christi's answer to Southfork ranch on which lives a banana-eating camel, meets Pia Zadora, Guns N' Roses and gets the freedom of the city on Al Capone's boat.
