Music on 2: Walton Birthday Concert

As part of Sir William Walton's 70th birthday celebrations, a concert of his own music was given last week by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Outside broadcast cameras were at the Royal Festival Hall to record his Improvisations on an Impromptu of Benjamin Britten conducted by Andre Previn,
Concerto for viola and orchestra with Yehudi Menuhin (solo viola) conducted by Sir William Walton.
