He also travels to Hintlesham Hall in Suffolk to find out which herbs renowned chef Robert Carrier chooses to grow.
Lynda Brown starts work in her cook's garden and Stephen Lacey shows how the flashy orange day lily can fit into a garden's colour scheme.
