Two men whose dramatic work has been given in evidence are the focus for the penultimate episode of the series on British photographic collections. David Hoffman used the pictures he took while covering an anti-Salman Rushdie demonstration to defend himself when he faced charges of assault and obstruction.
Clifford Ashton has specialised in images of burning mills in areas around Rochdale, with 1,000 fires covered over 40 years documenting the decline of the cotton industry. Presented by Muriel Gray.
