The Albion Band are pioneers of a rock music drawn from the roots of the English pastoral tradition. This portrait of the band and its leader follows them to concerts, recordings, country dances and to the National Theatre, where they provided the music for the triumphant production of Larkrise. with comments from Richard Thompson, Keith Dewhurst and Ashley Hutchings
