A description of the scene in the Guildhall by Olga Collett
Broadcast from the Guildhall
Mrs. Olga Collett , daughter-in-law of a former Lord Mayor of London, will watch the historic scene from the gallery that will later be occupied by the Lady Mayoress's Maids of Honour, who will dine in a private room. While she looks down on the assembled guests, among whom will be the Prime Minister, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and foreign ambassadors, the Lord Mayor's procession will come in, heralded by trumpeters, and the Lord Mayor will enter the brilliant banquet room in the Guildhall.
