The first of a two-part feature on the young cricketers expected to be the mainstays of the senior side in the future. 12.30 Motorsport
Coverage of the Touring Car Championship taking place at Oulton Park, the challenging Cheshire course that always provides more than its fair share of bumper-to-bumper action. Germany's Frank Biela led the championship early on, but now it's time for the pack to start chasing the leader. Both BMW and Volvo have seen the chequered flag this season with Jo Winkelhock and Kelvin Burt and both should be at the front of the grid again. Commentary by Murray Walker.

A look at the British Women's Open at Woburn. Twelve months ago, Australian Karrie Webb finished six shots ahead of the field, completing the final 18 holes with a three-under-par round of 70. Britain's top finisher was Caroline Pierce in third place while big names Laura Davies, Trish Johnson and Laura Fairclough finished way down the field. All the top Europeans were expected to be challenging to regain the title this year.
Former champions Liselotte Neumann and Helen Alfredsson, along with fellow
Swedish star Annika Sorenstam, were among the favourites.
2.00 Show Jumping
Featuring the Derby, from Hickstead.
Michael Whitaker will be chasing a record fifth title today. He won three in a row between 1991 and 1993, adding to his first success in 1980. His brother and fellow Atlanta Olympian John is also one of the favourites to regain a title he won in 1983. The winner of the last two, however, has been Ireland's Captain John Ledingham riding Kilbaha, who last year pushed John Whitaker into second place.
