The Day of the Zebra
Narrated by HUGH FALKUS
Zebras are ponies uniquely marked like mint humbugs which helps them in their struggle for survival. Every zebra aims to get through the day alive. They are all engaged in an interlocking system of life and death, of feeding and breeding, because the beauty of the African countryside conceals a streak of necessary beastliness. Each day brings its routine, but also deadly risks. Those surviving at the day's end are the strongest, the fittest to continue the breed. We follow a family of zebras for a day in the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania, and see what they do, where they go, and how they cope with life on the African Plains.
