Andrew Morton is a successful lawyer, a graduate of the city streets. When he is called upon to defend Nick 'Pretty Boy' Romano, accused of murdering a policeman, he enters a vicious battle with the District Attorney. Both men are determined to win the case - no matter what tactics are called for.
