Summer of 77: 1: Four Cops

on BBC Two England

A series of seven new films
Reporter Anna Ford
Two teams of police patrolmen - one operating in the streets of a town called Inglewood in California, the other taking care of a patch in Brighton, Sussex. They have never met. For each pair it is another routine day peppered with routine incident. But through them, and what happens to them, you may judge for yourself where you would have preferred to spend your summer - the sunny suburb on the Pacific Ocean or the town by the often grey English Channel.
