(6) A serial reading from Herman Melville's ' Moby Dick ' by Geoffrey Tandy
The Pequod, now in the neighbourhood of Formosa, has to look to the oil barrels stowed in the hold because they are leaking. Queequeg contracts a fever from working down there in the slime, and, thinking he will not survive, has himself measured for a coffin, which is made by the ship's carpenter. He tries it out to make sure it will be comfortable, and equips it with biscuits and water.
