"It's about the ultimate holiday from hell," says Anna Reynolds of her first play for television.
Inspired by a true story,
Paradise is a black comedy about a family who can't afford to jet away to the Costas so they lie to their neighbours and hide out in their cellar instead.
However, far from getting away from it all, being incarcerated forces the parents and their two children, aged 11 and 16, to reappraise their relationships, with drastic results.
Anna Reynolds has written three highly acclaimed plays for fringe theatre and is working on a script for a BBC Screen Two film.
