Time Out goes Flying-Fishing and Potholing

Go, Papa, Go
Sheila Scott, Britain's top woman racing pilot, and 15 PAPA, a Piper Comanche 400, enter into a partnership designed to break fifteen light-aircraft speed records. At 8.0 p.m. tonight Sheila Scott and 15 PAPA should be on their way back from Paris to the R.A.F. Station Northolt where Time Out Outside Broadcast cameras will be waiting to meet her.

Fishing with the Mayfly
At this time of the year the villages of Ireland are deserted. The shops are shut, the doctor's surgery empty, and the doctor himself is out-fishing with the mayfly, the favourite food of trout. Ludovic Kennedy reports from the West Coast of Ireland.

Two Thousand Feet Beneath the Earth
The Pyrenees, on the French-Spanish border, are a potholers' paradise. In 1950, the deepest pot-hole in the world, 'Pierre St. Martin', was discovered there by Georges Lepineux. Tonight Ian MacNaught-Davis descends into this cavern two and a half miles inside the Pyrenees, to report on the progress of a French team of speleologists.
